    Plastic Girl

Earlier in the day, while I was surfing, I was clicking away at random. At one page I saw a caption ” Koena at a party” and her photograph was there.I was like ” Ahhhh useless website, they put someone else’s photo  there ” [ It didn’t look like her at all ] I clicked to see further. And, guess what it was Koena herself. She got a nose job, I guess like for the third or fourth time. It looks so odd and disturbing. The last time she got it done, some freak doctor made her look like a ghost. But,with time and her frequent on-screen ventures, she became more and more acceptable, in fact I liked her, I guess many more of us would have got used to her new look.

Very few know that Koena’s not a mere glam doll. She has a masters in Psychology, trained in various dance forms and highly accomplished sports person. It’s alarming to know a highly educated person like her can fall prey to cosmetic surgery. I can understand if someone like MJ, JLO, lindsay lohan, etc fell for it, they neither had the awareness levels nor did they have insights like Koena. I really don’t understand why would a girl, who has already been accepted as pretty and good looking, won series of modelling contests and worked with top designers and labels would want to go under the knife. It’s ridiculous, she was already accepted as a supermodel and was ruling the modelling circuit. Moreover, she wasn’t like 50 to consider surgery, still very much in her 20s. Her actions bemuse me. What she has done to herself is really sad. She was a beautiful girl and now she is a creepy plastic figure. See for yourself.

This is one of her earliest photographs, she looked pleasant, if not great. As I said, she was one of India’s leading model.

And,then she lost her mind. In the quest of becoming more appealing, she got a nose & lip job. Result was devastating. Her career went southwards and critics slammed her for her atrocious looks.Sad.

This picture gives you a better view of her surgery scar. She sported this look for last few years. I would say it was fine, her great physique and attitude kept her going in bollywood.

By the way, she resembled MJ.. lol

Finally her latest photos. I guess these were snapped in 2011.  click the pics to get a better view and compare with her earlier pics. Poor her.

She looks a different person, doesnt she?

I really pity her, She was such a lovely looking girl and now she is reduced to a shadow of her previous self. Few years ago she was a great role model for any aspiring model and actress but now, I don’t think anyone would want to go the “Koena” way. Such a shame. Poor her. However, I still love her. * muwwaahhhh…Kisses for Koena *

why does a girl with a masters in psychology go for such a career in the first place?? u drop everything just to be a crappy piece of plastic?

and seriously…what was wrong with the way she was before? she was at least pleasant to look at…wtf has she done to herself!

      • Narendra 10:52 pm on March 9, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Hehehehehhe…Exactly…All her education is gone down the drain..but, I’m sure it wud have helped her to stay calm n composed when she got those horrible scars.. She never shied away from the Media…brave girl..She’s an intelligent girl..not like other morons…but kya karen..looks ke chakkar mein..she got trapped..poor girl…

The first shot of her at the beginning is beautiful. This is a lesson to anyone who contemplates the knife. Her search for more beauty has taken her seriously backwards because you see in her eyes in the last shot………….she’s not happy.

      • Narendra 11:01 pm on March 11, 2011 Permalink | Reply

So true..her eyes are teary..poor girl..she has lost her charm..Pity people who go in for these cosmetic enhancements..shallow ones..sad 😦

    • Sheryll 10:45 pm on March 13, 2011 Permalink | Reply

You’re right, she looks awful but who am I to judge her? Maybe she doesn’t see herself beautiful enough, therefore the need for plastic surgery. She does resemble MJ.

Awwwhhh..I like to believe the same…she perhaps wasn’t happy with her looks..moreover, those were the times when Cosmetic surgery was a fad..poor girl, lost her way

    Can’t Act? No problem, You’re a Superstar

No birthday’s today :-P. I just wanted to take yesterday’s post a little further and write about few legendary actors who made it really big despite their serious deficiencies in the acting department. These men are towering figures in the Indian movie industry, no book on Bollywood can be ever complete without few episodes on these giants.

Dev Anand: The “Evergreen Star”. Indian version of Gregory Peck. Watching Dev Anand sway around, jump like a rabbit with his cumpulsive nod of the head is perhaps the most fascinating sights in Indian cinema history.I have always been a huge fan of Dev Anand, love to watch his movies. He was largely considered a sham artist who hardly emoted however, he did extremely well for himself. I like to believe somewhere deep inside he understood that movies are about entertainment and not neccessarily art or skill. Hats off to Dev saab.

This movie was made by him. So, he made sure everyone involved is overacting.

Raj Kapoor: I hate him however, just like his acting ( sorry, lack of it ) he sleep walks into this list. In my opinion he was extremely dreadful, his dead pan, bemused looks irritate me. Despite his disastrous acting skills, he’s one of the biggest movie stars India has ever produced.

Raj and Raj. This merger should have been a colossal disaster going by their quality of acting but, god seems to have planned something else, this movie went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters of all time.  😀

Rajendra Kumar: No actor in the entire Indian Cinema history has delivered as many hits as Rajendra Kumar. Invariably, most of his movies made past the 25 weeks mark. For his phenomenal success at B.O. he was aptly nicknamed “Jubilee Kumar“. If you thought it had something to do with his acting, think again. A piece of wood would have emoted better than him.

In this video he shows of his driving skills, as of acting 😀

Rajesh Khanna: India’s first superstar. He wasn’t as hopeless as the other men listed above. He gave few memorable performances along the way. In movies like Bawarchi, Namk Haram, Amar Prem and Anand ( which is one of my all time favorite movies, I don’t think any other actor of his generation could have done justice to that character ) he showed his mettle as an actor. Nevertheless, he wasn’t great at acting which led to his dramatic downfall in the second half of his career.

Seen here in one of his best ever performances  🙂   * Cheering away with joy *

lol..it’s said that when Rajesh Khanna was at his peak…girls used to go mad for him..they did crazy things to woo him..and I’m talking about early 70s…I dun think those girls were interested in his acting 🙂

the 2nd song- Amitabh Bachchan has done so many songs like that. and exactly like that. so why the discrimination? if both of them do exactly the same thing, why is AB considered a good actor and the other a bad one????

    Indian movies go local

With the turn of the Century, India and China have fast emerged as super powers. China leading the way in manufacturing and India claiming honors in Services segment. In simple terms both countries are increasingly stamping their presence across the globe.

If you leave out the economics thing. Other chief drivers are Food and Movies. There is nothing to talk about Chinese food and their cheap kung fu moives, both have unmatched following. India isn’t far behind. Food is already big world over. In fact there are few Indian restaurants which have more branches outside than in India.

However, what has really put us in limelight are our movies. Here are few videos which show how the world has taken to Indian Movies.

An east asian dude singing away a popular hindi number at a Cantonese reality show, does a neat job.

This one’s a Oscar winning song. Check out this spanish band, cool job.

Check out these young girls crooning a famous bollywood song, watch out for their facial expressions. LoL

We even got into the wedding parties as well, This one’s amazing.

Hey, We got Aryan cousins hooked to our dance numbers, See this

Trust you enjoyed watching these videos. Many more on youtube.

but yes it is amazing how bollywood has managed to penetrate into other countries….my ex’s sister watched more hindi movies than i ever had…there was hardly an indian movie she hadnt seen. she was egyptian, didnt understand the language AT ALL. but the dedication, i swear: shed download the movies, brother would download the subtitles, and thats the way she wud watch.
