My thought on this years world cup of cricket? One team will win, and the others won’t. Some people will be happy, others won’t, some people will care, others don’t. But all in all, for those of you who enjoy it, or unlike me, understand it, then have a great time watching it.

      • Narendra 10:37 pm on February 18, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Totally, endorse you views.. For people like me, we don’t enjoy Cricket…we simply LIVE it…
Want my team to win, nothing less will make me and millions of followers happy 🙂

hmm…sri lanka also possesses an ability to implode. sometimes they give up the match to their opponents too easily. asia cup final 2010. literally handed the match over to india :@:@:@:@

wheressss yr bit on paki!! come on they just thrashed nz. (not much to go by, even bangladesh whitewashed nz…but still) im waiting! and u HAVE to mention afridi in it.

      • Narendra 9:22 am on February 5, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Oh yes, Pak is next..always been a big fan of Afridi..glad he will lead the side..
BTW..SL are one of the fav’s.. for tht matter, all 4 sub-continent teams can win this.. so as Brad says..it’s..Go SL! Go!

ALL four? u think BD can too???

          • Narendra 4:00 pm on February 5, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Of course they can…If they get to QF..jus 3 good games shud do it for them..they have a decent side..remember they thumped NZ..also they being playing well for last 2 yrs..jus d result was going thr way…they no underdogs..they can pull off a coup..lets wait n watch

      • sufiaz 4:14 pm on February 5, 2011 Permalink | Reply

common … the NZ side wasnt doing too well itself. its not in very good shape and hasnt been for some time. and BD only relies on 1-2 main players, shakib and tamim and some bowler im forgetting who. and like the india of old, once these players go, BD gives up.

        • Narendra 4:19 pm on February 5, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Chalo Bet…BD will do better than Pak 😛
          what say?

Bharat jeetega..zaroor jeetega.. Oops..we were talking abt BD.
BD will win more games than Pak…100% 🙂
Right…we have a deal.. ( HA HA HA HA – monstrous laughter )

Ohh… bad office..shouldn’t be blocking youtube or other social media sites..esp for the marketing professionals..

As of England..I want them for finals..every time they reached there..they helped the opponents win…remember they help u lift the cup 🙂

        • sufiaz 3:24 pm on January 19, 2011 Permalink | Reply

and its not that its BLOCKED. its just we get terrible speeds here. if someone opens a video, the internet stops for everyone else…which is very often since we use youtube a lot for work. for work related purposes its ok…but for personal browsing, its not a good thing. my boss is thinking of getting a better connection by the end of this mth….so hopefully things will improve, shes got selfish motives, the WC will start in feb and ppl will be streaming matches off the internet. dumb logic, but itll solve our connection problem 🙂

          • Narendra 3:32 pm on January 19, 2011 Permalink | Reply

yyyyaaaaaayyyyyyyy…World cup brings high speed internet to offices in pakistan..how about that for news headlines..sensational?

Happy for you and your colleagues..I never thought Karachi had high speed internet..my bad..guess I need to look up more info about your city. A good friend of mine worked in Lahore for about 8 months and he always complained about poor internet. Hope your government is listening.

the problem is the phone lines….used to have a DSL connection at home, it worked quite well until the phone line died, This was last march (2010), ive been trying to get the phone line fixed since then but no joy. the phone line still isnt fixed, and ive gotten sick of complaining, and i havent been able to use my DSL connection since then. switched to wireless and been problem free since then 🙂

        • sufiaz 7:21 pm on January 16, 2011 Permalink | Reply

RSA does well in series and tournaments…its their WC campaigning history thats not good…Pakistan beat them in the last two t20 campaigns, 1999 they lost cuz some idiot thought the match was over and walked…getting stumped as a result. great team…theyve got fantastic bowlers in steyn, morkel and tsotsobe (or whatever it is)…brilliant batsmen in de villiers, kallis and amla….good fielders….they just lose their heads in a crisis 😦

inzi? everyone says it now…they even taught bob woolmer this 🙂 what used to really irritate me abt inzi was “bismillah e rahman e raheem..first of all thanks to Allah…”…every presentation.

hehehhehehe..Insane.. he was like a parrot, he said the same thing in almost all the presentations.. Mr.Aaloo 😛

        • sufiaz 12:16 pm on January 17, 2011 Permalink | Reply

there was a reason 🙂 his english was terrible…theyd give him a script before the presentation (or so the story goes)..this is what u have to say. this being pakistan, no one bothered to update the script, or if they did no one told him 🙂

we have a very popular joke here…when his wife had a baby, someone asked him abt it during the presentation. and inzi started off…..“bismillah e rahman e raheem..first of all thanks to Allah…it was a team effort”. damn inzi.

he may be an aloo..but omg he was a GOOD batsman. effortless flick of the wrist and the ball would reach the boundary. … god help u if he ever tried to run tho 🙂

    • sufiaz 6:34 pm on January 16, 2011 Permalink | Reply

cant open the video, im at work, so dont know what it says…

i WOULD say india had a fantastic chance at the WC..the best batting line up in the world, home advantage, sachin tendulkar….everythings in place for them. what they DO need is better bowlers tho. id bet all the money I have on an england/india final.

      • Narendra 6:52 pm on January 16, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Sufiaz..you got is right..I have mentioned abt Sachin and Batting as well. Of course iffy bowling. But you see am an Indian, I love this sport. I want to see my team. Logic can take back seat. I hope it’s a Ind-Pak final nothing can beat that 🙂

        • sufiaz 7:23 pm on January 16, 2011 Permalink | Reply

OH yes! as a pakistani i want NOTHING more than my team in the final….against india. but i dont think pakistan is good enough. but then it IS pakistan, u cant predict. one day they play like they dont know how to hold a bat, the next day they bring their opposition down on its knees. u never know with them 🙂
